Pass Plus

PASS PLUS
is a practical course and all modules should be covered as practical
sessions where possible. However, the local conditions and time of year may
mean that some of the modules need to be given in a theory session. For
example, if there is no motorway nearby, the motorway driving module will
need to be covered in a theory session (you can gain helpful experience on
dual carriageways, but this won't cover aspects specific to motorways).
Pass Plus Modules
Town Driving
Driving in towns can be daunting : rush hour traffic, complicated
junctions and traffic systems ... learn the skills to deal with these
and more.
All Weather Driving
Rain, fog, snow, ice and even bright sunlight : improve your skills for driving safely in all weather conditions.
Driving out of Town
Country Roads can hold all kinds of hazards, from sharp bends and potholes to farm vehicles and animals in the road.
Night Driving
Dealing with dazzle, judging distance and speed, using your lights correctly. These are some of the areas covered.
Driving on Dual Carriageways
To drive safely on fast, multi-lane roads you'll need all your skills of observation, concentration, anticipation and lane discipline.
Driving on Motorways
Motorways are like no other roads : learn how to drive safely and correctly under expert supervision.
When you pass
When you've reached the required level in all six modules, your PASS PLUS instructor will send your completed Training Report Form to the DSA who will then issue a PASS PLUS Certificate of Completion to show that you've successfully completed the course.
This may then entitle you to an insurance discount from one of the companies taking part in the scheme
